Electrically Conductive Silicate Composite for Protection against Electrocorrosion

This article presents the results of a study on development an anti-corrosion plaster composite based water glass with increased electrical conductivity. Known acid-resistant quartz-fluorosilicate composites containing liquid sodium silicate, fluorosilicate and high-silica filler in form quartz, andesite or diabase powder were chosen as prototype. The low resistance adhesion to Portland cement concrete these limits their application. By adding granulated blast-furnace slag composite, it was possible increase solution its concrete. addition graphite made obtain not only corrosion-resistant (to chemical physico-chemical corrosion) but also use grounded protective screen drain leakage currents from structure, thus protecting both corrosion electrocorrosion destruction.
